Sugarbaby tried to scam me How to date a sugar baby

So it is always smart to meet a Sugarbaby and find out if she is serious or just bored or trying to scam you.
Recently I meet a nice looking young girl of 18 and was shocked to find out even at that age she was already had developed a scheme to rip people off.
We talked and got along and talked money. Then she says "Gotta go for now, but time is money, and I need for you to give me money now and get together next week."
Well, I didn't just fall off the turnip truck. I know a con when I see a con. I said nope. No service, no money. Guess what, that was the end of our relationship.
Anyone else have this happen? I've been a sugardaddy for 30 years and couldn't believe someone so young had already become a con artist. Scam. Thankfully that has only happened a couple of times.

I have had numerous encounters with "women" who fall in love on the first exchange of messages and soon want "help" but please not Zelle or PayPal - they want an Amazon gift card or even Bitcoin. Sooner or later you find they're in Ghana or Nigeria and have some gold that one has to pay to be released from the vault. They are easy to spot if you know what to look for: Run-on sentences, very routine questions like "what did you have for breakfast?", photos of models or porn stars (use Google image search) said to be of themselves, and a total misunderstanding of slang. If I agree with a statement with "you bet" they have no idea what it means. They're probably not even all women, just kids with passable english picking up a few bucks from the organizers of the scams. And yes, I've found a few on this site. So watch your ass, guys.

Perhaps a name-&-shame thread here, though it can be used for revenge too

Go for the not-so-good-looking ones. They would have difficulty scamming, I think. Might not even think of it.

When I first started, I had one say she would send me some pics for money. Sent her the money on Venmo, she didn't send any pics AND deleted her profile on here. Because of that and others that have asked for money up front without meeting, I absolutely refuse to go that route. Only going to be meet first, any transaction later and that will need to be agreed to in advance.

I've been selling my items and meetups for half a year now. I've always done money before service due to the people who actually don't pay plus some of my items require shipping. It's a really iffy thing but that's why you build a trust and get to know the person.

That girl was strait up with you so that's not a scam, just not what you were looking for. In sure someone out there would be just fine with that arrangement.

Lances situation  however is messed up. They're girls out here that really do need help and people like that ruining it for everyone

I think she may have been a con artist IF she wasn't truthful about her intentions with you. OR if she finessed you out of money in some way or form. Maybe was just this young woman's love language and to me is sounds like you BOTH determined you would not be a good fit for one another.  Maybe you BOTH were looking for other things in the giving & receiving arena. 🤷🏻‍♀️Im not sure, but good luck on finding the right one! Again I would like to say I consider myself a glass half full type so I may totally have the wrong read; over all it's great you didn't let the sour experience hinder your journey.

Seems like the new scam is for "babies" to say they are handicapped and ask for money for driving up/down to see you. I actually received a drivers license before giving money. But alas, after $2,000 and several days of "driving" that it wa a scam. The sad thing is, I'm sure whatever lifestyle the scammer woman who came on the webcam to prove it was her will not enjoy the lifestyle of a taken care of woman. Playing with successful men's hearts is the reason why I'm starting to realize that the internet is not much different than real life. While I am in no way desperate or lonely, I do find it hard to find a woman who is beautiful and interesting enough to capture my attention.Guys, any similarities?
