Still working to achieve success
Work harder than you anticipated you would need to and find happiness in the small things. I've learned that if I can't love what I do everyday, I can at least love doing something everyday. It helps keep the motivation and drive alive.
I studied hard and worked even harder. I have never thought that this is where life would lead but I will do anything for the people I love. I have made a lot of mistakes and I wish that my regret list was so much shorter. But I know that I am a survivor and that patience will pay off.
As an Air Force Colonel and Oral Surgeon I obviously spent many years in school before I achieved that goal, but there are many careers that don't require 14 years of college/residency prior to success. WIth that said it doesn't mean that you won't have to work just as hard and persevere just as much as I did to achieve your goals. You don't have to be a genius to succeed you just have to have the drive and the determination and you will be successful!
